Ashwin Chettiar
I'm Ashwin Chettiar, the founder of TechSober. I cover tech and AI the way I wish someone had covered it for me — honestly, with the costs, limits and marketing spin left firmly in.
Why TechSober exists
TechSober started with a simple frustration: almost everything in tech is sold to you twice — once by the company, then again by the reviewer paid to be excited. The hype machine is loud, and it rarely mentions what a thing costs you in money, time or sanity.
So I built the channel I wanted to watch. No breathless launch-day verdicts. No spec sheets dressed up as opinions. Just tech and AI covered after the novelty fades — when the real strengths and the quiet compromises actually show up.
The goal isn't to be negative. It's to be honest enough that you can make your own call.
That honesty is the whole brand. When I build an AI tool, I show you the bill and where it breaks. When I review a gadget, I live with it for weeks first. When something's genuinely great, I'll say so — and you'll believe me, because I told you the truth about the last ten things.
TechSober is independent and small on purpose. That keeps the incentives clean: I answer to the people watching, not to whoever shipped the press unit. If that sounds like the kind of tech coverage you've been missing, you're in the right place.
